On personally meeting the judge, the inmates identified the officials as TS Darbari and Sanjay Mahendroo, who are lodged in Tihar following corruption charges.

The inmates were produced at the Saket court complex for hearing in their case but they requested for a meeting with the magistrate to submit an application. Amit's mother Munni Devi has also filed an application in the magistrate's court claiming her son and Pawan were being threatened inside the jail.
