US mkts end 1-1.5% lower post Bernanke's comments - Moneycontrol.com

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 10,120.53, down 109.43 points or 1.07%. The Nasdaq Composite ended at 2,187.33, down 35.16 points or 1.58% and S&P 500 Index at 1,069.59, down 13.89 points or 1.28%.

Financial sector index ended 1.8% lower, which was up 1.6% in an intraday trade. Yield of 10-year treasury note dropped below 2.90% to its lowest level since April 2009. Earnings reports came in better-than-expected. Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo and US Bancorp results were better-than-expected within the banking space.
