Govt's Pak policy dictated by US: BJP - Times of India

NEW DELHI: Demanding that India should not hold any dilaogue with Pakistan till Islamabad takes "credible action" to stop terrorism emanating from its soil, the BJP on Tuesday alleged that the goverment is being held to ransom by Washington.

The main Opposition party alleged that the nation's foriegn policy with regard to Pakistan is being formulated under US pressure. "It was disappointing to note that the UPA regime was very keen on getting the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damages Bill through to please the US. Under pressure, the Prime Minister has mortgaged India's foreign policy vis-a-vis Pakistan to the US," BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.
