Washington: The number of swine flu cases has jumped to 2,532 in44 US states, with three deaths, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said.
In its latest report on Sunday, the CDC said the state of Illinois hasconfirmed 466 cases of the A(H1N1) flu, followed by Wisconsin with 357cases, California with 282 cases. New York has reported 190 cases while182 confirmed cases were reported from Arizona, the CDC said. The increase in the number of confirmed cases showed that the ongoingoutbreak of the novel influenza continues to expand in the US. CDCofficials have said they expect the flu to spread to all 50 states inthe US, causing severe disease and even some deaths.
