But as we hit the home stretch of this election, which might be the last great presidential race of the TV Age, it is just fabulous to watch the medium reassert itself as the place to be for political and cultural news. Even with this new daily blog and its current focus on the space where TV and politics meets, I can hardly keep up. And from the huge overnight ratings for Saturday Night Live, to the buzz for former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s endorsement of Barack Obama on Meet the Press, I know there were millions of viewers running the same race over the weekend. TV is still the way the vast majority of us experience politics.
